Vanessa Heilman
Vanessa has 7 years experience in a variety of geotechnical and brownfield development projects in the UK and a further 7 years experience of Canadian geotechnical projects. She has completed projects involving remediation of failed highway embankments, extensive site characterization projects, preliminary foundation design, environmental site assessments and gas and groundwater monitoring programs. Since moving to Canada Vanessa was a core member of the design team for the Tailings Management Area for a new potash solution mine and also worked on several projects completed for the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) including site inspections and determination of eligibility for funding, site investigations, remedial design, construction monitoring and contract administration. In 2018 Vanessa joined the City of Saskatoon as the geotechnical engineering specialist with a focus on managing the riverbank instability and provides an geotechnical input to internal departments.
